The 535i is the F10 5 Series powered by the N55 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six, rated at 306 PS, which replaced the twin-turbo N54 with a single twin-scroll turbocharger. It pulls strongly from low revs and suits the grand-touring character of this rear-wheel-drive saloon, sold from its 2010 launch until the G30 arrived.
For the BMW 535i (F10) N55 Sedan RWD (2010-2017), Armytrix offers the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers and downpipes. Tips are available in chrome silver, matte black, blue coated, carbon and gold. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port.
