Unveiled in 2019, the G16 Gran Coupé is the four-door 8 Series: a longer wheelbase than the coupé, more room in the back and the same low, taut silhouette. The 840i uses the B58 3.0-litre turbo straight-six, with rear-wheel drive or xDrive, and in Europe it runs with a gasoline particulate filter, like the cars on this page.
For the BMW 840i (G16) Gran Coupé OPF (2019-), Armytrix offers the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers and downpipes. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
